The Eraeaen Elves are the keepers of time and seasons, ensuring the realm progresses in harmony with its natural cycles. These enigmatic elves reside in secluded glades and ancient towers where time seems to flow differently. They wield intricate time-magic to mend temporal fractures and regulate the transitions between seasons.
Their society revolves around Aevemasters, who oversee the great mechanisms of time, and Equinarchs, who orchestrate the shift of spring to summer or autumn to winter. Eraeaen Elves adorn themselves with celestial motifs and shimmering sands that appear to shift like an hourglass, embodying their deep connection to the flow of time and nature.
Ability: Temporal Ripple Link to heading
Once per day, the Eraeaen Elf can subtly manipulate the flow of time around a single target. The elf may choose one creature or object within 30 feet:
- Hasten: Grant the target a +1 bonus to their initiative and movement speed for 1d4 rounds.
- Delay: Impose a -1 penalty to the target’s initiative and movement speed for 1d4 rounds.
This ability requires intense focus and cannot be used during combat if the elf has taken damage in the same round.
The Vodabraen Elves — Guardians of the Waterways Link to heading
The Vodabraen Elves are stewards of the waterways and lakes, tasked with purifying and maintaining the lifeblood of the realm against the creeping corruption of the Void. They wield aquatic magic that allows them to manipulate water, cleanse its essence, and combat the dark influences that threaten it.
Vodabraen society is centered around Vodaliths (Waterscribes), who inscribe sacred glyphs to guard the flow of rivers and streams, and Thalassarytes (Currentwardens), warriors who patrol the lakes and defend against corrupted entities. Living in harmony with aquatic ecosystems, these elves craft their armor and tools from shells, pearls, and the iridescent scales of lake creatures.
Ability: Ripplestrike Link to heading
Once per day, the Vodabraen Elf can channel their connection to water to create a rippling burst of force. As an action, the elf targets a creature within 30 feet:
- The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Wisdom modifier) or take 1d6 force damage and be pushed 10 feet away.
- If the target is in or adjacent to water, they have disadvantage on the saving throw, and the damage increases to 1d8.
